Willi Unsoeld (1926-1979)

Unsoeld could equally be described as a mountaineering philosopher: he achieved pre-eminence as a mountaineer, having been among the first party of Americans to summit Everest; and was also professor of philosophy at Washington State’s Evergreen State College.
