On page 67 of his A Study of Concepts (MIT
Press, 1992), Peacocke offers the 'fine-grained of experience
argument' in favour of non-conceptual content, saying:
"If you are looking at a range of mountains, it
may be correct to say that you see some as rounded,
some as rugged. But the content of your visual experience
in respect of the shape of the mountains is far more
specific than that description indicates."
